Anson Carter played four years at Michigan State as a productive player before taking his talents to the National Hockey League. Carter proved himself as a capable goal-scorer at MSU. After his time in East Lansing, Carter would go on to play ten NHL seasons. He would reach his career-high in goals with the Vancouver Canucks during the 2005-’06 season with 33 goals and 22 assists for a total of 55 points (though his career high in points would be 60 with the Edmonton Oilers during the 2001-’02 season). Between those seasons, Carter would see his seasons routinely shortened by injuries, derailing what could have been a prolific career in the NHL.
