EAST LANSING – Pinning it on one play would be silly when Michigan State had so many to rue after Wednesday’s 72-71 loss to Nebraska, and especially considering the play happened with 11 minutes left.
But Denzel Valentine was thinking of that behind-the-back pass attempt to Deyonta Davis when he said: “At the end of the day, we had a five-point lead in the second half, ready to turn that into eight.
