EAST LANSING – The transition from high school to college can be difficult.
For Cody White, at least there’s a familiar face to greet him every morning. His father, Sheldon.
“Yeah, it’s been cool just having him around, being able to talk to him about stuff,” the younger White said during Michigan State’s minicamp in June.
That day, Sheldon White was named the Spartans’ new director of player personnel. The former Detroit Lions interim general manager was a program consultant last year for MSU coach Mark Dantonio.
Now, he and his son will be together in green and white.
