It was 6 a.m. Monday morning and senior forward Matt Costello and the rest the MSU basketball team had just returned home the morning after capturing the Wooden Legacy tournament title in California.
Upon his arrival back to Breslin Center, Costello, exhausted from the weekend's trip to California, made his way to the locker room, where he immediately fell asleep.
But being the student-athlete he is, Costello woke up two hours later and went to class, before returning to Breslin Center that afternoon for basketball practice.
"It's been a long two days," Costello said.
