FLINT, MI – Morris Peterson walked up the stairs from the basement at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church with bags in his hands and headed out to load up turkeys and other food in vehicles in the parking lot.

The former Flint Northwestern star, Michigan State University standout, and NBA veteran provided meals Tuesday afternoon to families ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday in a partnership between the Morris Peterson Jr. Foundation, Krave Marketing, Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, United Way of Genesee County, and Monte & Spencer Investment Team.

"It's all about giving back and seeing the smiles on the kids' faces and the families' faces," he said.
