EAST LANSING - As Miles Bridges shot free throws with three minutes left in Michigan State's eventual 81-61 win over Illinois, the students behind the basket chanted a phrase that's become familiar to the Spartans' star:
"One more year"
Bridges smiled as he sank both shots. A few minutes later, Tom Izzo subbed him out of Michigan State's final home game at Breslin Center this year. The noise from a knowing crowd grew as Bridges prepared to depart.
Yet as Bridges walked past center court, he didn't pause to kiss it, as is the tradition for departing players.
