Michigan sophomore Monet Chun walked to the tee box, the last Wolverine on Tuesday morning to tee off in the second round of regionals.
She’d finished a short conversation with coach Jan Dowling and was about to grab her driver from her bag, when teammate and roommate Ashley Kim, watching from the sideline, stopped her.
“Did you have an Uncrustable?” she asks, pointing to a cooler with pre-made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with no crust. “They’ve got a lot of good snacks over there."
The two share a laugh and a fist bump, moments before one of the biggest rounds of Chun’s life.
