The Big Ten Conference on Tuesday announced its regular season all-conference teams and awards for women's basketball, and a few locals garnered respect.
Michigan's Leigha Brown was one of 10 players selected to the league's first team by the Big Ten media panel. Brown is a 6-foot-1 guard in her fifth season, spending the past three in Ann Arbor after transferring from Nebraska. She is averaging a team-best 18.2 points, 5.7 assists and 5.4 rebounds per game for No. 18 Michigan (21-8, 11-7 Big Ten).
Emily Kiser, Laila Phelia were one of 10 players named on the second team by media.
