EAST LANSING — Luka Garza caught the ball on the right side of the lane.
Iowa’s star tried to go left, he spun right. Xavier Tillman sealed his path to the basket with each move.
Michigan State basketball’s junior forward then sealed the Spartans’ 78-70 victory and his place in school history by blocking Garza’s shot and remaining in position defensively to force a travel.
It was Tillman’s second block of the game and the 147th of his career, breaking Matt Costello’s MSU record when the Spartans needed it most.
