Xavier Tillman was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year on Monday, the same day the Michigan State basketball big man earned second-team All-Big Ten honors for his performance this season.
Tillman has averaged 13.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.1 blocks and 1.2 steals as a junior.
He is the fourth Spartan to be named Defensive Player of the Year, joining Jaren Jackson Jr.
