ROSEMONT, Ill. — Michigan State basketball’s Tom Izzo and the rest of the Big Ten coaches kicked off basketball season Thursday, with the annual media day back in the Chicago area for the first time in three years.

Avoiding corruption case
Izzo said he did not feel vindicated that MSU was brought up in a positive light during the federal hearing involving the recruitment of Brian Bowen, the Saginaw native who is alleged of accepting money to attend Louisville.
