ROSEMONT, Ill. – It felt like a tremendous elixir, a 65-60 victory for No. 1 Michigan State over Northwestern that became the biggest comeback in Big Ten history.
But the scrutiny surrounding Tom Izzo’s program followed him to Allstate Arena.
The 23rd-year coach, who has been a subject in an ESPN investigation that included allegations of sexual assault and/or violence against women by his former players, was asked about another ESPN report from Friday that connected one of his current players with an ongoing criminal investigation.
