EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State sophomore Sarah Burnham has been named first-team All-Big Ten, while redshirt sophomore Katie Sharp has been selected to the second team, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Burnham has led the Spartans all year and is currently on pace to set the MSU single-season scoring record. Her average of 72.40 is on track to eclipse the current record of 73.53 established by Caroline Powers during the 2010-11 season.
In addition to scoring average, Burnham also ranks first on the team in birdies (109), under-par rounds (14) and top-10 finishes (6).
