EAST LANSING — It wasn’t senior night, but injury-depleted No. 9 Michigan State got plenty from its two elder statesmen Tuesday.
Kenny Goins and Matt McQuaid both set career highs, combining for 46 points, as the Spartans overcame injuries and an off night from Cassius Winston en route to a 91-76 victory over Nebraska at Breslin Center.
The Spartans (24-6, 15-4 Big Ten) wrap up the regular season with Saturday’s showdown against No. 7 Michigan. Tipoff is 8 p.m. at Breslin (ESPN). Both teams need help in the Big Ten title race from Minnesota, which was hosting first-place Purdue Tuesday night and leading at halftime.
