Michigan State's offensive line remains a work in progress

EAST LANSING - Solid pass protection or a key block to open a hole in the running game.

Michigan State offensive line coach Mark Staten doesn't believe those are widely recognized on a regular basis.

A missed assignment that leads to a sack or a defensive tackle blowing up a run play through the middle.

Staten knows those aren't overlooked by the masses watching from the stadium or at home on TV.

"Oftentimes with the offensive line, it's when bad things happen that we're noticed," Staten said. "But, it's also in our nature to just kind of wipe it off and get back to work.
