Michigan State's offense shows wrinkles, still can't do much vs. Oregon

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Brian Lewerke trotted onto the Levi’s Stadium field, and Michigan State football’s offense took on a different look.

LJ Scott was back at running back, and directly behind Lewerke, in giving the Spartans their two best weapons from a year ago together for the first time in months.

Out of that pistol formation, an element MSU coach Mark Dantonio and his staff spent a month working on and installing, Scott burst off a hard-nosed, 6-yard run.
