Michigan State's Nick Ward clutched his left hand as he left Friday's Sweet 16 game against LSU in the second half.
Ward, who suffered a hairline fracture in his left hand on Feb. 17, fell hard to the ground with just over 6 minutes left in the half after trying to battle Naz Reid for a rebound.
Officials reviewed the play and assessed a Flagrant-1 foul because Ward was deemed to be in a vulnerable position.
