Michigan State's Madre London embraces RB competition: 'We'll just see who is going to take it'

EAST LANSING -- Redshirt freshman tailback Madre London is ready to compete for carries at Michigan State, and according to London, may the best man win.

"You know Larry Scott is going to come in, and hopefully Delton Williams will come back, and we're still going to have Gerald Holmes,'' London said on Tuesday, asked about the wide-open competition the Spartans have at tailback. "We're not going to give anyone a spot, so we are all just competing.

"The position is free, so we'll just see who is going to take it.''

Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said incoming freshman Larry "LJ" Scott will compete for playing time immediately this fall, but London heard the same thing about himself a year ago when he chose the Spartans over Nebraska, Wisconsin and Mississippi State, among several others.
