Michigan State cornerback Khary Crump accepted a plea deal and avoided jail time Tuesday related to charges stemming from an altercation in the tunnel at Michigan Stadium on Oct. 29 after Michigan defeated Michigan State 29-7.
According to Matt Charboneau of the Detroit News, Crump was sentenced to 12 months of probation and 80 hours of community service. Chief assistant prosecuting attorney Victoria Burton-Harris said in a statement to ESPN that Crump's conviction will be expunged if he completes the terms of his probation.
Crump was one of seven Michigan State players charged in the assault of Michigan players Gemon Green and Ja'Den McBurrows.
