Katie Sharp Named Big Ten Women’s Golfer of the Week

Redshirt sophomore earns first career weekly honor from the Big Ten.

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Fresh off her first career win at the Clemson Invitational over the weekend, Michigan State redshirt sophomore Katie Sharp has been named the Big Ten Women’s Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced on Wednesday.

Sharp claimed medalist honors with a career-low 8-under-par 208 (68-70-70), which tied for the second-lowest 54-hole score in program history. The inaugural Clemson Invitational featured 14 teams, including nine ranked in the Golfstat Top 50, and was held at The Reserve at Lake Keowee in Sunset, South Carolina.
