After more than a decade coaching at his alma mater, Harlon Barnett is on the move.
Barnett, Michigan State's co-defensive coordinator and associate head coach, will be the new defensive coordinator at Florida State, according to a report Friday morning by FOX Sports' Bruce Feldman. The move was confirmed to MLive.com although neither Barnett nor a Michigan State spokesman immediately responded to messages seeking comment.
Barnett is the first assistant coach Mark Dantonio has lost to another program since former defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi left to become Pittsburgh's head coach after the 2014 season.
