EAST LANSING – Michigan State’s stunning loss to Northeastern still stung the Spartans two days later.
“It’s just gonna put you back in a different mind-set,” sophomore Kenny Goins said Tuesday. “It’s very humbling, I guess you could say.”
Oakland was to host Northeastern on Tuesday night, then 24 hours later heads to Breslin Center for back-to-back games. The Golden Grizzlies, who have never beaten MSU in 14 tries since the series began in 1998, hope to produce a similar upset Wednesday night.
