EAST LANSING — When nearly every wide receiver on Michigan State’s two-deep went down with an injury in 2018, there was always a small silver lining.
The young wideouts were going to get their snaps.
So as Michigan State’s three-headed attack of Cody White, Darrell Stewart Jr. and Felton Davis III all missed some time injured or hobbled in 2018, the backups stepped up. And now with a battle for that third wide receiver spot, it has led to some early competition during spring ball.
