EAST LANSING - Chris Frey arrived at Michigan State as soon as he could.
As an early enrollee in the Spartans' 2014 recruiting class, the three-star linebacker from Ohio went through winter conditioning at the Duffy Daugherty Building to lay the groundwork for a college career. A little more than four years later and on the same turf, Frey wore a white T-shirt with a green Spartan logo on it and the words "Pro Day 2018."
No longer was he working through one of the countless college practices or squeezing in offseason work between classes. Frey is a Michigan State graduate and participating in the program's pro day was the first act of what he hopes turns into a career in the NFL.
