Chris Frey called the opportunity to work out in front of NFL scouts during Michigan State's pro day "a dream come true."
The linebacker can now update the highlights of his life and football career. After going undrafted, Frey announced Saturday night he will join the Carolina Panthers as a free agent.
Frey was a four-year contributor and two-year starter at outside linebacker for the Spartans. He started the final 25 of his 52 career games and finished his career with 193 tackles, including 13.5 for a loss, seven sacks, five fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles.
