EAST LANSING - Michigan State's offense is struggling, and its top receiver is now out.
Senior wide receiver Felton Davis suffered a left leg injury in the second quarter of Saturday's game against Michigan and FOX reported it is a torn Achilles tendon. That would be a season-ending injury.
There was no contact on the play and Davis went down just as he started his break from the line of scrimmage. Trainers looked at his left leg before he was taken off the field on a cart.
Michigan had a 7-0 lead against Michigan State at halftime and the Spartans managed just 49 yards of total offense in the first half.
