ESPN announced Thursday that Michigan State will host Notre Dame in the 2017 Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Date, time and television designation will be announced at a later date. ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will combine to televise all 14 games of the event.
This is the first time MSU will host Notre Dame since Feb. 4, 1974. Prior to their meeting at Notre Dame in the 2014 Big Ten/ACC Challenge, the two teams had not met since the 1979 NCAA Tournament regional final. This will be the 96th meeting between the Spartans and Fighting Irish, as ND leads the all-time series by a 60-35 margin.
