Right when we thought Michigan State football was completely out of the College Football Playoff race, the Spartans jump four spots in the rankings to No. 9 heading into the Ohio State contest. A win over the Buckeyes would put MSU in prime position to take hold of the Big Ten reigns and beating Penn State to finish the season would mean the Spartans made the title game.
That’s a lot of ifs, though, as Michigan State just needs to take care of business in Columbus this Saturday afternoon and avenge last year’s home loss to the Buckeyes.
