When Scott Frost took over at Nebraska, he knew it’d take a couple of years before the Cornhuskers would be true contenders. He probably didn’t think winning games would be this difficult, though.
Nebraska started the year 0-6 before winning 3-of-4 games to improve to 3-7. They might be trending in the right direction, but the Cornhuskers face stiff competition at home in Week 12 against 6-4 Michigan State.
The Spartans, on the other hand, have been in every game this season and could very well be a 9-1 team. They held leads in the second half, or were tied with their opponent, versus Michigan, Northwestern and Arizona State and trailed the Buckeyes by just one last week before the offense handed the Buckeyes the game.
