During the last eight years with Mark Dantonio as the head coach of the Michigan State Spartans, times have been good in East Lansing. That’s not to say times were ever bad for the green and white — although John L. Smith made them very grim — but Dantonio has restored excitement and high expectations for Michigan State fans.
Even though the Michigan Wolverines haven’t been great when the Spartans have over the past seven or eight years, the rivalry has still been as heated as ever.
Michigan has shuffled through three coaches in that time, losing Lloyd Carr, Rich Rodriguez and then Brady Hoke.
