Saturday’s Big Ten Championship will be Michigan State‘s third since 2011. The Iowa Hawkeyes have never made an appearance, but as the No. 4 team in the country and without a loss on their schedule, they’re heading in as the favorite.
Unfortunately for the Hawkeyes, the Spartans play the role of underdog very well. The Spartans have had to overcome all odds to get to Indianapolis. Winning games on the road against Michigan and undefeated Ohio State were improbable, according to the experts, but a loss to Nebraska just a month ago seemed to seal the deal on the Spartans’ fate in 2015.
