Michigan State and Indiana are in a strange position. The Spartans don’t really have a shot at the Big Ten title anymore after suffering a fifth loss against Purdue on Tuesday while they do have a great chance to secure a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament by winning out.
Indiana has a prime chance to win the Big Ten title, tied with Iowa after taking down the Hawkeyes earlier in the week at home, but the Hoosiers aren’t even in the Top 25 — somehow — and a No. 4 or No. 5 seed seems far more likely.
