Here's what Michigan State fans are talking about after the Spartans' 38-31 win over Utah State:
An underwhelming start
Michigan State has had more than a few closer-than-expected season openers in recent years, beating Furman by 15 and Western Michigan by 13 (twice).
But while Michigan State typically played close first halves and held somewhat comfortable leads in the second halves of most of those games, this was different.
The Spartans took a lead by 13 points but gave it all back and fell behind by one with 5:05 left. It took a go-ahead touchdown with two minutes left and an ensuing interception by Joe Bachie to win.
