As expected, the Michigan State men’s basketball team took a tumble in the Associated Press Top 25.
The Spartans (16-3), who dropped both games last week and are off to a 3-3 start in Big Ten play, plummeted seven spots to No. 11 in this week’s poll, released Monday.
Michigan State lost to Iowa, 76-59, on Thursday before losing, 77-76, to Wisconsin on Sunday. Iowa is No. 9 in this week’s poll, up seven spots.
Michigan State returns to action Wednesday at home against Nebraska (11-8, 3-3 Big Ten).
Michigan (13-5, 3-2) remains unranked.
