Tre Person, a true freshman defensive back, made his college debut at safety.
"Tre Person has done a great job in practice," Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said. "He can practice well, he played well. ... That front-side safety needed to be able to cover and he can cover very well and he's active, he's been active in practices and I thought we got to give him a chance to play.
