The Michigan State 2016 football class seems to be growing by the day. Maybe it’s because of a solid recruiting effort by its top commits such as Messiah deWeaver and Cam Chambers or by the recent history of being an elite program with NFL talent to prove as its worth. Spartan Nation is hoping four-star defensive end Auston Robertson can be added to the mix.
Unlike many Michigan State recruiting class under Mark Dantonio, the 2016 class has started primarily as an offensive group, with only one current commit that has been on the defensive side of the ball, and that’s three-star linebacker Joe Bachie.
