2016 safety Demetric Vance verbally committed to the Michigan State Spartans, becoming the tenth commitment for Mark Dantonio's 2016 class.
On Tuesday, Michigan State's 2016 recruiting class was ranked 17th overall in the 247Sports Composite team rankings after both Jonah Morris and Austin Andrews verbally committed during their campus visits.
A day later, the Spartan have jumped three spots to No. 14 after receiving another pledge from Detroit Cass Tech's Demetric Vance, a three-star safety, who announced his pledge at his high school alongside family, coaches and teammates.
The 6-foot-1, 193 pounder had offers from Nebraska, Penn State, Pittsburgh and Tennessee, but narrowed his final three to MSU, Michigan and Ohio State.
