EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan State football team held its second scrimmage of spring practice on Wednesday night under the lights at Spartan Stadium with temperatures in the mid-40s.
The scrimmage, which utilized a modified scoring system and lasted two hours, was 123 plays long (including special teams) and won by the defense, 29-15. The scrimmage was originally scheduled for Thursday, but was moved up due to rain in the forecast.
“First of all, it gives us five days where we’re not practicing, so they can use that,” said Dantonio, as Wednesday marked the team’s 11th practice of the spring and sixth since last Tuesday.
