EAST LANSING – In the wake of a number of issues surrounding Michigan State’s sports programs, athletic director Mark Hollis has restructured his department for more day-to-day help.
Hollis promoted Alan Haller to his newly created chief of staff position, the school announced today. In that role, the former MSU football player now will be charged with helping “with many of my daily tasks,” Hollis said in a release, while also serving as a liaison within and outside the athletic department.
“I have a passion for Michigan State University that traces back to my days as a student-athlete,” said Haller, who was hired in 2010 and will remain a senior associate athletic director.
