Nearly two months after the NCAA announced it was investigating Michigan State for how it handled disgraced former sports medicine doctor Larry Nassar, the university responded.
In response to list of questions from MLive.com about the status of the investigation, Michigan State's communication and brand strategy department sent an email saying the university responded to the NCAA on March 22. Neither that department nor Michigan State spokesperson and vice president Emily Gerkin Guerrant provided further detail or answered other specific questions about the response, including if the university self-reported any violations.
MLive.com filed a Freedom of Information Act request with Michigan State for any communications with the NCAA but it has not yet been returned.
