East Lansing — Just days after its biggest win of the season, Michigan State found itself in a slugfest with Minnesota on Thursday night at the Breslin Center.
Instead of suffering an ugly loss, however, No. 8 Michigan State got 19 points and a career-high 16 rebounds from Xavier Tillman as the Spartans ground out a 74-58 victory to remain unbeaten in the Big Ten.
Cassius Winston took over late in the game and finished with 27 points and six assists for the Spartans (13-3, 5-0 Big Ten) while Aaron Henry added seven points and seven assists.
