It didn’t take long for the Michigan State recruiting success to receive attention and recognition after five-star shooting guard Josh Langford committed to the Spartans on Monday. According to 247Sports, the Spartans’ 2016 class is now ranked No. 2 in the country, trailing only Virginia.
The Spartans picked up the No. 13 overall player in the nation for the class and that was enough to bump Michigan State up 14 spots from No. 16 in the country all the way to No. 2. Langford is one of the top players in the nation for the 2016 class and his commitment to Tom Izzo and MSU was a bit of a surprise so early in the process.
