EAST LANSING -- Michigan State is continuing its slow climb back toward the top of the rankings, and is now the highest-ranked team in the Big Ten.
The Spartans checked in at No. 6 in this week's Associated Press poll, two spots higher than their previous ranking.
The jump comes after one game last week: a 69-57 win over Wisconsin, a team that came to the Breslin Center with a seven-game win streak.
After bottoming out at No. 12 following a three-game losing streak in January, the Spartans have slowly climbed back up, six spots over the last four polls.
