Cook’s arduous wait will bleed into Saturday after he was not selected in the first three rounds and 98 picks. The Michigan State quarterback was projected by some analysts, including Mike Mayock of the NFL Network, to be a late first- or early second-round pick.
However, Mayock said he was “not as blown away by” Cook falling into the third day.
