EAST LANSING – Then-offensive coodinator Don Treadwell got it. Dan Roushar, another former OC, did too.
Dave Warner is now hearing the same scrutiny over his play-calling from Michigan State fans as the offensive coordinators who came before him.
Never mind that Warner presided over the most robust offenses in school history the past three seasons. The Spartans now are struggling to score points, failing to move the ball and losing games because of the problems.
And Warner is being blamed as much as, if not more than, quarterback Tyler O’Connor.
“I think you go back and you dissect it over the last three weeks and it’s truly a breakdown here, breakdown there,” MSU’s co-offensive coordinator said after Saturday’s 31-14 loss to BYU.
