Michigan State pitches five-star Trayce Jackson-Davis to be its next great big man from Indiana

GRAND RAPIDS -- Michigan State just shepherded a highly ranked Indiana forward into the top five of the NBA draft, when Jaren Jackson spent a year in East Lansing en route to becoming the No. 4 overall pick last month.

Now, Tom Izzo trying to convince the next highly ranked Indiana big man to follow that same path.

That player would be Trayce Jackson-Davis, the five-star center from Greenwood, Indiana. As the Spartans pitch Jackson-Davis to join the Spartans' 2019 recruiting class, they're using Jackson as one of the models.

"With Jaren Jackson and guys like that, they think that I'm kind of similar to them, that (Izzo) can kind of mold me into that type of player and get me to that caliber," Jackson-Davis said.
