Michigan State Athletics is helping cut out any potential middle men between Spartans student-athletes and businesses that want to strike name, image and likeness deals.
The Michigan State Exchange will connect student-athletes and organizations who wanted to negotiate NIL agreements, the university announced Tuesday in a statement.
Over the summer the NCAA lightened or rescinded many rules that prevented college and high school athletes from profiting off their name or image. MSU athletes — including Kenneth Walker III, Payton Thorne and Jayden Reed — have cashed in with agreements that pay them for tweets, appearances, shoutouts and more.
