Michigan State observations: Passing game carrying the offense

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Halftime observations from Memorial Stadium, where No. 23 Michigan State leads Indiana 21-7 after two quarters Saturday night.

MSU clearly was concerned about masking the injuries, so much so that they created a shell game by dressing four players in No. 12 before the game among their dress list shenanigans.

The Spartans did not start left tackle Cole Chewins and left guard David Beedle, though Chewins did appear as a reserve.
