EAST LANSING - For all the new starters Michigan State will have this season, placekicker has not received much attention.
Four-year starter Michael Geiger is gone and there are four in the running to take over the spot.
"They're all competing and working hard," Michigan State special teams coach Mark Snyder said after practice on Thursday. "It's still a competition. Everybody is getting equal reps."
Snyder didn't offer any hint about who has stood out through the first three weeks of practice as the Spartans break in a newcomer between Matt Coghlin, Cole Hahn, Brett Scanlon and Jack McKenna.
