EAST LANSING -- Mark Dantonio has a long to-do list with his team after four straight losses.
But the first item on it is this:
"We've got to run the ball more effectively," Dantonio said.
Michigan State ran for just 51 yards in its 52-40 loss to Northwestern on Saturday.
Michigan State lit up for 54 points by Northwestern in fourth straight loss
The Spartans (2-4, 0-3) have now lost four straight games for the first time in Dantonio's 10 seasons as head coach.
The number stands as Michigan State's second-lowest rushing total since September, 2012.
